Apply early to ensure completed applications are submitted.
Applicants are strongly recommended to apply as far in advance as possible before the call close date of 2pm, 23rd December 2009. During the first call for the Employment Subsidy Scheme (Temporary) in August/September 2009 a number of applicants missed the deadline due to leaving the application process to the last minute and, due to unforeseen circumstances, were unable to submit their applications on time.
Before you begin preparing for your application please ensure you are eligible by reviewing the eligibility criteria for the Employment Subsidy Scheme (Temporary).
If you are eligible to apply, please follow these steps:

Gather the necessary information. Allow at least one hour for this step. Before you open the online application form please print the application checklist
and the application form example to help you gather the necessary information. A detailed description of the information required to complete the online application form is provided in this table. Note that the table mirrors the 4 sections of the online application form.
Please ensure that you have gathered all the necessary information before you begin the online application.

Online Application: Fill in an online application form. You should allow a minimum of 20 minutes to enter all the information into the online application form.
To begin your online application please press the Apply Online button at the bottom of this page. You must complete the online application in a single sitting - it cannot be saved and re-opened. When you have correctly filled out the online application form (there are four sections in total) press the submit button.
You will automatically receive an email confirming that the first part of your application, the online application form, has been received. This email will contain your employment subsidy scheme reference number (ESS ID) and a copy of your application. Your ESS ID must be quoted in all further correspondence regarding the Employment Subsidy Scheme (Temporary).

Submit supporting financial documents:. On submission of your online application form you will receive a confirmation email. Your confirmation email will contain the next steps for submitting the supporting financial documentation which completes your application. You must reply to this email and attach the necessary financial documents to support your application. Failure to follow this process may result in your application being ineligible.

Acknowledgement: On submission of the three supporting financial documents you will be sent an email acknowledgement. Please note that your attachments are not checked until the application assessment date, i.e. after the call close date.
Only when all four elements of your application (one online application form and three supporting financial documents) have been received by Enterprise Ireland will your application be complete.
The applicant is responsible for all four elements of the application and for ensuring that they arrive no later than the call close date of 2pm, 23rd December 2009. Incomplete applications shall not be considered.
